“The basic principle is as simple as it is brilliant: take the free energy that exists in the air and ground, and convert it into heating for a house” Hans Wreifalt- Sales director at Thermia Heat Pumps.

A heat pump is a device that uses a very small amount of energy to move heat from one location to another. By transporting heat, instead of burning fuel to create it, heat pumps use much less energy than other heating systems. While it is supplying your home with heat, hot water and air conditioning, it is reducing your energy consumption by 75%. They work without emissions in the building itself, and do not need a separate installation room.

Ground source, air source and water source, are all energy sources than can be used with the heat pump, to generate heat for your home. The most suitable source will be advised by our engineers, who will take into consideration your need and the environment in which your home is set.

Ecosmart work in partnership with both Austrian manufacturer, IDM Energie and Swedish manufacturer, Thermia.

IDM have over 35 years’ experience in manufacturing heat pumps. They manufacture the TERRA Geothermal heat pump, a ground source heat pump, which can provide heating, air conditioning and hot water. And the TERRA ML air source heat pump, which can provide on demand heat. These are just two examples of the many heat pumps available.

Thermia are technology leaders in their field. They first developed the heat pump in 1973, and have since delivered thousands of heat pumps to many satisfied customers. There most popular product is the Thermia ATEC which is an Air Source Heat Pump. The ATEC delivers top results when it comes to annual efficiency, and yields the best savings.

Benefits of Heat Pumps

  • Use energy from Air, Ground and Water.
